[00:00:05] Good morning. 9:30. Good morning. Good morning. Hey, my name is Michael Fueling. I'm the lead pastor here at the village church. I want to invite you. If you have a Bible, would you open it? We're going to be in the. Surprise, Surprise, the book of Galatians, and we're going to be in chapter six this morning.
[00:00:20] So most people are not aware that when Jesus created the world, when he spoke and the world existed, that he did not just make make the physical realm like we know this, we see this, we live in this. But Jesus also created the beings and experiences of the spirit realm as well. And so he created physical laws that they govern our every single day. We have laws of gravity, laws of thermodynamics. And you can push against these laws. And who wins every single time? You are the laws. The laws, dude. That's right. There are also spiritual laws. There are spiritual laws that govern our reality. And you are bumping against some of these spiritual laws kind of on a daily basis, and you may not even know it. So let me share with you just a handful of these spiritual laws. The first would be the law of atonement. And this law states that without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness of sins. Atonement is a funny word that we don't use in our everyday language. But atonement is a payment by blood for sin. And some people don't understand this, but sin is so egregious, sin is so bad that it requires the death penalty in order to pay for it. And so what happens in atonement is that blood is shed for the payment of sin. And so you hear us say all the time things like, someone is gonna have to pay for your sin, and it's gonna be either you in hell or Jesus on the cross. And then you always hear me say, cause I mean it from the bottom of my heart, give me Jesus any day over hell.
[00:01:57] And so God is offering the opportunity for atonement. Well, this brings us to another spiritual law. It's the law of substitution.
[00:02:05] This law states that a willing sinless substitute, death, will be permitted in behalf of a wanting sinner.
[00:02:13] And Jesus was God, Jesus was willing, Jesus was sinless. And because of this law, the blood of Christ could be an acceptable substitute for your sins. And then how do we know this? Because Jesus didn't stay dead. And by God the Father, raising Jesus from the dead, here's what he is publicly declaring to everybody.
[00:02:35] This is my beloved Son. He is who he says he was. And the payment that he Made for your sin and my sin on the cross. This is accepted. And here we have the convergence of the law of atonement and the law of substitution. There's a third law. It's called the law of reaping and sowing.
[00:02:53] This law is unchanging. It is unavoidable. It is the subject of Galatians, chapter 6. And by the end of this message, what I want to do is I want to show you how all three of these laws converge together.
[00:03:06] All right? So as Paul writes this, we'll just call it very blunt book, letter of Galatians.
[00:03:13] When. When they read this out loud in their church gathering, he does not know how everything is going to shake out. But he does know this.
[00:03:22] He does know that some people are going to leave the church.
[00:03:27] Probably most likely they're gonna be the Judaizers who have infiltrated the church. They have a false gospel and false teaching. And so he does know that by the time this letter is read out loud, they're probably gonna leave the church. There's gonna be also a handful of people in the church who are following the Judaizers, and pretty sure he knows they're not gonna make it through this. The letter's gonna be read. There's gonna be some bickering, some complaining, maybe even some yelling. But the following Sunday, all the people who were there that week are not gonna be there the following week.
[00:03:58] Then there's gonna be those who were there, and they believe in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. They believe that Paul and the apostles are Jesus representatives. And so they're gonna come back the next week, and they're gonna stay in the church. But no matter how you slice it, when you get to the end of this letter, the people who were there before are not gonna be all the people who were there afterwards. And so in Galatians, chapter six, what Paul's gonna do this morning, the text we're in, is he's gonna give a dead serious warning to all the Galatians, especially those Galatians who want to be neutral when it comes to the Judaizers. You guys know this. Neutrality is never neutral. But there are some things. There are some issues that God does not tolerate neutrality. And this is going to be one of them. So Galatians, chapter six. We're going to start in verse six, and here's what he says.
[00:04:55] Let the one who has taught the Word share all good things with the one who teaches.
[00:05:03] I understand this applies to me. I like this verse. Right?
[00:05:07] But if you just kind of parachute into this verse, it sort of feels out of place in the totality of the book of Galatians.
[00:05:18] This has been a very blunt book. It's been a very direct book.
[00:05:22] And you should be reading this and thinking to yourself, why is the Apostle Paul, in all of his bluntness and all of his correct, he's trying to protect this church. He's trying to expose these evil people. Like, why is he now just making this random statement about the people who teach and preach? So there is a positive side of this, and this principle applies. Share all good things with the ministers and the ministries and the people, the men, the women, the students who teach you the word of God. And sharing all things can be your home.
[00:05:52] It could be your food, your tools, your social media posts, your time, your money, your pool, anything of value that blesses.
[00:06:01] Now, here's what Paul is not saying to them. He is not telling them, you guys really stink at this. In fact, he knows that they're really good at this. He personally was the recipient of their kindness and their sharing with him all. All good things.
[00:06:21] What's interesting is that in its context, this verse is not primarily to the good Galatians, who do a great job of honoring those who form them with God's Word. Actually, this is, in its context, this is a strong challenge to those who are supporting the Judaizers, because they're supporting them. Almost as if given the illusion that the Judaizers are teaching them, teaching them God's word, when in fact what they're doing is that they are using God's Word to abuse them, take advantage of them, and build their own platform, and they're teaching them a false gospel. And so Paul's just like, listen, like, I need you to understand this. Those of you who are supporting the Judaizers, or those of you who are kind of neutral in this situation, like, you cannot support these people.
[00:07:15] And verse seven, to every Galatian who is supporting them, what Paul does is he invokes the law of the spiritual law of reaping and sowing. He says this.
[00:07:25] Do not be deceived. Do you feel the strength of this?
[00:07:31] This is the emotional context of the verse before it. Do not be deceived. God is not mocked. For whatever one sows that will he also reap. To be clear, Paul is not saying, give me more money and support.
[00:07:51] Paul is saying, stop giving these losers the Judaizers any more money and support because you are not building the kingdom of Jesus by giving them your support.
[00:08:05] They, the Judaizers are taking advantage of You, I know there's going to be a shock.
[00:08:12] They don't love you. And I get it. They talk well, they're good debaters, they're well trained, and they quote the Bible. Can we just agree that not everybody who quotes the Bible quotes it accurately and has good intentions? Amenville Church so Galatians, like, get this in your head.
[00:08:31] You are a means to their nefarious end.
[00:08:35] And Paul's saying something, I think, really practical. And I want all of you to hear this.
[00:08:39] When you partner, financially or otherwise, with false teachers or fleshly people, you are invoking the spiritual law of reaping and sowing on yourself and on your family.
[00:09:02] So there are four rules that guide the law of reaping and sowing. And Paul unpacks them for us in these next verses. And here's the first rule. This is the rule of like kind. In other words, you reap the kind of seed that you sow. This might be the most obvious rule I've ever said out loud in church, but it needs to be said because we sometimes forget this rule. Verse 8 says, for the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption.
[00:09:35] But the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.
[00:09:43] So both your flesh and the Holy Spirit will pay you back for all the money you put into their account, and they will pay you back with interest. But I want you to understand this. They can only pay you back according to their nature. For example, dogs can only give birth to little puppies, and cats can only give birth to little kittens. And apple seeds can only produce apple trees. There are limits to what they can do.
[00:10:14] And the flesh can only when you sow it in the ground, when you do the deeds of the flesh, all they can produce in you is more weeds.
[00:10:27] So if you sow to the flesh, what is the outcome? Every single time, more flesh. And what's the nature of a weed, by the way?
[00:10:38] The nature of a weed is that wherever it goes, it hogs the water and the resources and it kills and extinguishes all the life around it. If you have dandelions, you see this and you know what happens when you have to pull up a dandelion. You now have to replant seed because it killed all of the grass in its orbit. This is the nature of the weed, of the flesh, is that it kills life slowly, steadily, but certainly.
[00:11:02] But the Holy Spirit has a different nature.
[00:11:04] The Holy Spirit's nature is that of life, of flourishing, and he says this, that it produces. When you sow to the Spirit, it produces eternal life. And so by invoking this law, here's what Paul is saying.
[00:11:18] The Judaizers have. All they've done is they've sown to the flesh, right? They're not teaching you sound doctrine and sound living.
[00:11:27] They baited you.
[00:11:29] And if you partner with them, you are sowing to the flesh.
[00:11:35] And by the way, when the reaping comes, you don't want to reap the results of the flesh. What is the result of the flesh? Corruption. What is it? Ruin. What is it? Destruction. You don't want that. But here's what he's saying. When you are sharing all good things or partnering with people who are fleshly with false gospels and evil living, you now are invoking upon yourself the law of reaping and sowing. There's a second rule called this, the 10x rule.
[00:12:11] And this is essentially, if you sow to the flesh. And what do you get here? What's that word?
[00:12:16] Corruption, weeds, ruin.
[00:12:20] And so the flesh seed, little tiny seed, and the weed it produces, they're not the same size. This is just nature. The seed is always smaller than what it grows out of it in both scope and proportion.
[00:12:38] But even if you sow to the Spirit, what do you get?
[00:12:41] You get eternal life. And let me just tell you that the blessing of eternal life far outweighs it is far bigger in scope and scale than the little thing of doing the right thing and giving your life to Jesus Christ. Like you exercise a mustard seed of faith, and somehow this mustard seed of faith grows into eternal life and blessing and inheriting the world. Are you kidding me? The two do not go together. This is not a one to one. Now, some of you, you are very literal, and I love that. And you're not gonna hear a single thing I say until I address this concern. Pastor Michael, where do you get the 10x number? Because certainly it's not always mathematically perfectly 10x. Correct. You are correct.
[00:13:27] This is called a rhetorical device used to help you remember this. And if I'm going to be really honest, I actually think I should have done the 100x rule, because I've watched a lot of reaping, both positively and negatively. And to me, the reaping, when you understand what that is, is usually much larger than 10x. But I think 10x helps us remember it. So let me show you how the other scriptures apply or use this 10x rule. I think it'll help you understand Hosea, chapter 8. Verse 7.
[00:13:55] For they sow the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind. In other words, the behavior and the outcome, the sowing and the reaping are not one to one.
[00:14:06] The wind, a gentle breeze, and a whirlwind are very different in scope and scale.
[00:14:13] Proverbs 22:8. Whoever sows injustice will reap calamity. And it seems in the, in the context of Proverbs here that the idea is that you have a banker or somebody with more money, they are lending money to somebody, taking advantage of them with interest. It's this private thing that nobody sees. But in time, when they reap what they've sown, what are they going to reap? They're going to reap destruction, calamity, devastation. And so these little things that you sow in God's kingdom, this is kind of the rule of the universe. Whether good or whether bad they are, you will reap to a degree far greater than what you have sown. And so what you reap will usually be at least 10x the size of that which you sow. Which brings us to the third rule of reaping.
[00:15:01] This is the both side of the coin rule.
[00:15:04] Reaping is not just negative. Most of us, when we think about you're gonna reap what you sow, it's like a rebuke to people who do dumb things, right? But the scriptures actually use this in a really positive, like motivational kind of way on a very consistent basis. I'll show you just two of them to make the point.
[00:15:21] James 3:18 says this, a harvest of righteousness. That's what you're reaping. It's sown in peace by those who make peace. Like this is a little thing. You sow peace, you sow things that really foster unity. And then what is the harvest that you get?
[00:15:41] It's good.
[00:15:42] It is a harvest of righteousness.
[00:15:45] And he says in Proverbs 11:18, whoever sows righteousness gets a sure reward. Here's one of the biggest challenges I think that Christians have when we think of the harvest that we get from doing good things.
[00:15:59] Most American Christians would love the harvest to be more money, more stuff, and a higher standard of living.
[00:16:05] But that is not what he promises. What he says, that I can guarantee you, is that you will reap a harvest of righteousness.
[00:16:14] And then some of us think to ourselves, I'd rather have money.
[00:16:17] That's great, but that's not what God promises. And I promise you, on your deathbed, you're gonna wish you had a life of peace. You're gonna wish you had a marriage of peace. You're gonna wish that you had children you were at peace with and grandchildren you were at peace with. You would substitute the fruit of the Spirit in that moment for all the money in the world when you lie down and you're on your deathbed.
[00:16:39] And so God knows something. He knows this, that all the stuff in this world is gonna die with this world. He'll give you everything later, you'll get all the stuff you want in heaven. You won't lack for anything.
[00:16:49] But right now, what he is promising you is the thing that you know deep down inside your soul wants and needs more than your debt.
[00:16:59] Here's what we see. God will.
[00:17:01] He will judge you.
[00:17:03] He will be faithful to his word. If you sow sin, you will reap calamity. If you sow the whirlwind, you will. Or the wind, you will reap the whirlwind. He will do that. But God would much rather bless you.
[00:17:18] God would much rather transform you from the inside out. God would much rather you go to bed every night not being afraid of who's going to catch whatever private sin you have. God would rather you go to bed at night, not in conflict with everybody in your life. God would rather you go to bed and be blessed by having abundance of the fruit of the spirit. For you to have a supernatural peace that surpasses understanding, it's illogical. You can't even make sense of it. There's a whirlwind all around you. But internally, like the Lord has brought a place of calm and rest in him.
[00:17:56] You who are filled with hatred and anger and bitterness, to have that slowly replaced with a heart of self control and love. Like these things that you can't do for yourself, these uphill battles that you're running into on a regular basis. Like God would love to give you a harvest of righteousness. And let me tell you what everyone in your life wants.
[00:18:15] They want more of the fruit of the spirit in you. People are done with your flesh and my flesh. They're done with your fits of rage. They're done with your sexual immorality. I've never met a wife who says, I really love my husband's fits of rage and sexual immorality. No, what she wants is self control and love and joy and peace and patience. It's interesting. The fruit of the spirit, the things the Spirit produces in us, they are actually the means to you getting the life you actually want. Want. It's A beautiful thing. And the Lord would love to bless you.
[00:18:47] But if you're so into the flesh and you're expecting to harvest righteousness, like we've messed this thing up completely. But God is a God who will judge by this law, but he will also bless you. God will do it. Now, the fourth rule of reaping, this is the rule of the long game, says in verse nine, let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap if we do not give up. Verse 9, in due season, the reaping comes later. The reaping comes at a different time than the sowing. The time is in due season. So the season you plant is not the season you reap. Now let me clarify a very common misunderstanding here.
[00:19:35] Sowing to the flesh and sowing to the spirit will both get you an immediate result.
[00:19:44] The immediate result is primarily emotional and that is normal. So when you sow to the flesh, it feels good.
[00:19:53] It feels good to yell. And anybody who tells you differently, they haven't yelled enough. Okay?
[00:19:59] It feels good to be sexually immoral. It feels good to harbor hate.
[00:20:04] And when you sow to the spirit, it feels good to be under control. What everyone around you is out of control. The power of just being calm.
[00:20:18] It feels good to serve and to love. Like when you do something for someone else that you get no credit for, for, and like nobody knows about, there's this unusual like joy inside of you. You know that feeling? It's like, wow, it's almost like I was made for this. It feels really satisfying to begin to choose a positive attitude of confidence in God rather than giving yourself over to the pessimism and curmudgeonous. But I need you to hear this. The fruit is not the feeling.
[00:20:50] The fruits are the long term consequences.
[00:20:54] The reaping is not what you feel immediately after you sow to the flesh or sow to the spirit. Those are just the emotions. The reaping comes in a different season.
[00:21:07] One of the hardest parts of rule number four is that people do not take seriously enough their investments in into the spirit because the payoff isn't immediate. The harvest comes in a different season. And they also don't take seriously enough the really unfortunate sadness of sowing to the flesh. Because what they feel immediately is one thing, but the actual harvest of the flesh, corruption, that takes time. It does not happen immediately. And sometimes it doesn't even happen quickly.
[00:21:42] And when you sow to the Holy Spirit, this is challenging.
[00:21:46] Many of the benefits you won't experience until you are dead and in the presence of Jesus.
[00:21:53] And for some people, that's far too long a way of distance. But I will tell you this. There will not be one single person in heaven who will ever say, I'm sure glad I sowed to the flesh. What do they call it? Sowing your wild oats. Is that the phrase? My brain can't remember it right. Nobody in heaven is gonna be like, that was awesome. In fact, when you see how Jesus rewards you, you will regret every moment of your life where you did not sow to the Spirit. Because Jesus will not leave one single investment into the kingdom, into the Spirit, left unrewarded. Never. All right, so let's get really practical. I wanna share with you two. So what's number one, Christians?
[00:22:36] Are you actively doing good to those of the household of faith? When you look at verse nine, starts off with an interesting phrase.
[00:22:45] Let us not grow weary of doing good. Why would we grow weary of doing good? Some of you know exactly what it feels like to love and to serve, to have nobody say thank you. For people to be ungrateful, for people to be entitled.
[00:23:01] You know what it feels like. If you're a mother or father, you probably doubly know what that is. And if you're a grandma and grandpa, you quadruply know what that is.
[00:23:07] And so doing good is hard when people don't see it and when you don't reap the immediate benefits of it, it's really challenging to keep going.
[00:23:18] And here's why it's also hard. The flesh, man. The flesh is strong. I don't know about yours. Mine's strong. It wants what it wants now, like it wants what it wants when it wants it.
[00:23:28] And so this is challenging. It's like, not only do you not get rewarded quickly, but the flesh is just always there, offering you something immediate and satisfying.
[00:23:37] Verse 10, he says, so then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone and especially to those who are the household of faith. And the command of God through Paul is twofold. One, stop supporting losers like the judaizers. They get nothing.
[00:23:54] And start supporting the men, the women, and the students who point you and your family to Jesus, especially the ones who labor over teaching you the word of God. Do good to the household of faith who does good to you when it comes to your resources.
[00:24:13] Are you resourcing people who are sowing to the demonic realm or the fleshly realm? Are you sowing to people who are actually sowing their life and ministry to the spirit realm? Now I want to make this even more practical. And again, I want to say this on the front end. I full understand. I am a pastor who's preaching the word and this is about that. You are the most kind, like church. I can't even fathom the kindness and support that you give to me and my family.
[00:24:40] I want to apply this in a way that I think most people overlook. I want to apply this to the men, the women, and the students who are making your life different, who are pouring God's word into you on a regular basis. And sometimes nobody does this on purpose. Well, maybe one or three of you, but the most of you don't do this on purpose, right? Most of you are not thinking, I am entitled to what they do. Because the vast majority of people who are either building the environments or doing the work don't get paid. They could be doing so many other things with their time, their money, their energy and their resources.
[00:25:12] And they are taking their time to pour into you and your husband and your wife and your children and your grandchildren, your nieces and your nephews and your best friends, kids and your best friends. They are making sure that every single person has full access to the Word of God in a way that they can understand it and apply it. And of course, nobody does this perfectly, but doggone it, there are hundreds of people doing their best to make sure you get the word of God. And that is amazing. And so I wanna just take your attention and I want you to just think about the small group leaders. I want you to think about the ministry leader. I want you to think about that friend who has come alongside of you and ministered to you with God's Word. I want you to think about the mentor in your life who taught you God's word. Think about the people who pour into your children. Think about the Awana leaders who every Monday night while you go and do whatever you do on Monday night, they are here every single week making sure the word of God and the gospel is implanted into the heart, into the soul of your children.
[00:26:17] None of them get paid to do that. None. And I want you to think about those people and I want you to think about your kids. Small group leaders from 5th grade all the way to 12th grade and all of the time and hours they spent coming alongside of you and hopefully just being an extension of your values and teaching them God's word and encouraging, encouraging them. I want you to think about all those people who literally labor to teach you God's word. And I want you to just think about ways that you can bless them. Bless them with your words. Blessed with a card. Blessed with unusual amounts of prayer. Blessed by meeting a need they just cannot meet. Blessed by solving a problem they can't solve. Blessed by showing up to lighten their load. Blessed by supporting their marriage or their kids. Like everybody is just so uniquely different in this and how they maybe what they need in that moment, but like maybe spend a little bit of time just praying over it. And you may not know the perfect thing to do, but as one of my mentors always says, he says, Michael, follow your good intentions. It does not need to be perfect, but do your best, have good intentions. And whether or not is the perfect way to bless somebody, they will be blessed even by your effort.
[00:27:27] And so take that moment and do good to the household of faith, especially those men, women and students who are measurably helping you grow spiritually and your family. Ammonville Church all right, Can I step on toes with so at number two?
[00:27:43] Okay.
[00:27:44] Yes, please. I like that.
[00:27:47] I'll preach to you any day. This is good.
[00:27:51] Maybe.
[00:27:52] Maybe your current season of reaping difficulty might be possibility due to your past season of sowing sin.
[00:28:03] Too soon? Okay.
[00:28:06] The Galatians. This is interesting. I can't find line of sight to how or why the Galatians would deserve the Judaizers.
[00:28:15] There are times when the devil just brings in false teachers or things of the like to create havoc. He loves doing this. We see this all the time. Scripture is just all over the place. Like, the devil doesn't like you. Okay? And if you were like one of Jesus disciples, right? Almost all of them are killed for their faith and they didn't do anything wrong. They were just affiliated with Jesus and hardship came to them. So not all hardship is because you or I were idiots in the past. Some of it is just the nature of living in a fallen world that is far fighting a very real spiritual battle.
[00:28:50] But sometimes you and I deserve the weeds that we have to deal with because we're reaping today what we sowed a few years ago in a different season.
[00:29:03] So to those of you who are not Christians, or maybe to those of you who are newer Christians, every single week, I want you to hear, no matter where you're coming from, there is no sin God cannot forgive. God loves you. God made you. God gave his son Jesus to die for your sins. In your place, Jesus was raised from the dead.
[00:29:24] The blood of Christ is more potent than any of the ridiculous things that you and I have done, right? The worst person on earth can still be forgiven and saved by the blood of Jesus. I want you to know every week, I want you to hear this. I want you to trust in Christ with all of my heart. Some of you who are new to the faith, you're like, yes, and.
[00:29:41] And I need to make this point to those of you who have not yet believed and to those of you who are newer in the faith.
[00:29:47] Starting to sow to the Spirit now does not negate the weeds you sowed years ago.
[00:29:56] You are not a victim when you are reaping what you yourself chose to sow.
[00:30:06] You are living the law of reaping and sowing.
[00:30:12] The vast majority of time. God does not soften the consequences of your sin before you came to Jesus, lest you repeat it.
[00:30:23] And even more so because what God wants you to do is in Jesus name, to make right what you made wrong.
[00:30:31] And if all the consequences are gone and there's no broken relationships and everything works just fine and dandy, you won't be compelled to take what we call extreme ownership and responsibility and to go make right the things you made wrong and to repair the relationships that you broke. And so God, because he loves you, doesn't fix all of your problems when you come to Christ. And this is nuts, did you know that after you come to Christ, you're still gonna struggle in sin and you're gonna do dumb things.
[00:31:00] And even, and especially after you become a Christian and you do dumb things, and you will still have to reap what you sow negatively, but also positively. And here's what I have found.
[00:31:16] I have found that the greatest shortcut to taking the whirlwind that is your life and bringing it or giving it a shot to get to a place of a gentle breeze. I like gentle breezes. I don't like being in the middle of whirlwinds. That the greatest shot that you have to calming the whirlwind down is extreme ownership and taking full responsibility.
[00:31:40] Anything short of that, it calms for a bit and then it comes back. It calms for a bit and then it comes back. And let it be said of every one of us, as far as it depends on me, I want to be at peace with all men now. I want to bring together the law of atonement, the law of substitution, and the laws of reaping. The law of reaping and sowing is simple. You sow sin, you reap eternal death. This is the consequence of sin. You do not have to like the consequence of sin. You don't have to like this law. The law exists whether you like it or not. Thermodynamics exists whether you agree with it or not. And so does gravity. Good luck going against that law. These laws are real and they are undeniable. They are unavoidable, and we will all come face to face with them at one point or another.
[00:32:27] And so the law of reaping and sowing is that if you sow to the flesh, you reap corruption, death, destruction, eternal death.
[00:32:35] But because of the law of substitution, God allows for a sinless person to shed their blood. In our place and in all of human history, there was one, and his name is Jesus.
[00:32:47] And because of the law of atonement, Jesus, sinless blood can be shed for our sins in our place.
[00:32:54] It will be an acceptable sacrifice.
[00:32:57] All three of these laws, reaping and sowing, substitution and atonement, all come together in the person of Jesus Christ.
[00:33:04] And in this, God looks at humanity and says, I have resolved all the laws, all the laws that require me to deal with every sin infraction in all of human history. And we say this, and we'll say this again. You can either pay the price for your sins in hell, or Jesus can pay the price for your sins on the cross. And one of the things I just love is that God is like, if you take this mustard seed of faith, this little thing that's like, it's, yes, people have bigger faith. You believe in the life, death and resurrection of Jesus. You come to him as you are and you ask him to forgive you. His answer is, I will take yes, that mustard seed of faith and I will turn it into eternal life where you reign and rule with me when all this is said and done forever and ever. You want to talk about a 10x rule? That's like a. That's the billionx rule.
[00:33:52] And if you want to see the absolute single greatest investment ever in human history, it is taking your mustard seed of faith and placing it in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Nothing will pay back more. And what I love is God doesn't play games. He's like, listen, if you are sincere, if you ask me, my answer is yes, you'll be forgiven and you will reap what you sow. Amenville Church let's pray. Father, we love you.
[00:34:19] We are thankful.
[00:34:21] Thank you. That.
[00:34:22] Thank you. That again. I feel like I say this every week. We just get to eavesdrop on these very real circumstances. And Lord, we are instructed.
[00:34:32] We have reaped what we have sown for good and for bad.
[00:34:37] And I want to thank you for giving us even the opportunity to sow the seed of faith in Jesus Christ so that we can reap eternal life when we get there. We will give you all glory, honor and praise for what you have done, for saving us. Because had you not intervened, had you not done the work of substitution and atonement, there would be no opportunity to receive eternal life. God, we don't want corruption, we don't want eternal death. We don't want it here and we don't want it there. Thank you for giving us everything we need to experience eternal life. We love you and we pray all of this in Jesus name. Amen. Amen.
